History

In 1938 PSSM was founded to enable young people in remote areas of New Zealand to engage with the Bible. Over the years thousands of children have experienced the lessons, which were delivered in the mail.

Times have changed. And what was right for a previous time is not necessarily right or effective today. It is from this context that in 2011, the idea for The Aetherlight was born within PSSM.

Team

Composed of a diverse team of game designers, educators, storytellers, and artists, The Aetherlight has been developed in Auckland, New Zealand. (Some refer to it as Middle Earth!) In 2016, we opened a small office in Nashville, Tennessee to oversee partnerships and marketing.

What's To Come

EPISODE 1

Players are immediately drawn into the world of Aethasia as you begin to quest and craft your way through The Aetherlight. Along the way, you’ll meet a man named Alexander. A man whose story will remind you of a much older story, the story of Abraham...

EPISODE 2 (COMING IN AUGUST)

Just when you thought you could catch your breath after Episode 1, you’re invited to go deeper into the world of Aethesia, and thus deeper into the story of Bible. In Episode 2, you’ll meet Julian and Edmund and get introduced to their complex relationship, which may remind you of the story of Jacob and Esau.

FUTURE EPISODES

Future episodes will allow players to experience the story of the Bible through the world of Aethasia.
